Overview

View Tags let you group views into named sets. Once created, you can use a tag to pre-populate views at export or to control which views are shared with a user without selecting them individually each time. View Tags are available to Editors only.

Create a tag

  1. Open any view and click the tag icon in the view toolbar

  2. Select View Tags

  3. Click Add

  4. Enter a tag name and optional description

  5. Use the Select views dropdown to add views to the tag

  6. Click Update

A view can belong to multiple tags. You can create as many tags as you need.

Use a tag at export

  1. Open Export Views

  2. In the Tags field, select a tag and the associated views will pre-populate the Views list

  3. Add or remove individual views if needed before exporting

  4. Complete the remaining export settings and click Export

The views list can be adjusted at export time. Tags set a starting point, not a hard constraint.

Use a tag for sharing

  1. Open the sharing modal for the model

  2. In the Tags field, select a tag to assign that group of views to a user

  3. The views tied to the tag cannot be adjusted in the sharing modal. Edit the tag itself to change which views are included.

This is intentional. Sharing is meant to be controlled and consistent. Manage the view set once in the tag, not per person.
