Overview

This article covers the following:

Exporting to Excel as an Editor

To export a model to Excel as an Editor, click on the blue drop-down menu next to the title of the model. Then, select "Export", then "Excel".

In the window that opens, select the desired scenarios and/or views to be exported. The default is to export all scenarios and all views. Each scenario will be exported as a separate file, and each view exported as a worksheet within the file. The data that gets exported is the same data that is visible in each view, including if there are any filters, sorting or groupings applied. For more details on exporting with filters, see below.

Exporting to Excel as a Contributor or Viewer

A Contributor or Viewer can export to Excel, as long as this is enabled for the specific model. The list of available views and/or scenarios for export is limited to those that the user has been granted access.

The steps to export are the same as for Editors, except the menu is limited to just the Export option for Contributors and Viewers. First, click on the blue drop-down menu next to the title of the model. Then, select "Export", then "Excel".

Enabling Contributors & Viewers to export to Excel

Editors can enable or disable exporting a model to Excel for Contributors and Viewers. First, click on the "Share" button, and then check the boxes for Contributors and/or Viewers accordingly. This setting only applies to the model that is currently open.

Exporting views with filters

When exporting views that have filters, the data exported will remain filtered. Meaning, the data included in the export file will be the same as what is visible in the view in Logica. Any data that is excluded by a filter is not visible in the view and therefore is not included in the export. See examples below.
