Overview
This article describes the following topics related to the dashboard in Logica:
What are Comments?
Comments are one of Logica's great features that allow you to discuss, take notes, or write reminders in addition to countless other options within the platform itself. They enable you to comment on specific variables or an overall view. A comment will show you the time it was made, who it was made by, and give you the ability to reply directly to it.
In addition, you can @otherUsers, which will notify the specific user with your comment via the Magicbell notification system and via email.
The email will specify where the comment was made which will make it easier for the user to find it with a link taking them to it. The Magicbell will notify the user the next time they view the model and will look like this:
Comments also enable users to edit and delete comments via the pencil and paper icon at the top right of every comment.
A list of comments can be organized by time via the drop-down menu at the top of the comment section which defaults to "Newest First."
Comments in variables
In order to directly comment on a specific variable, click on the variable in the canvas, table, or graph. Then, type out your comment with appropriate @s and press comment. This will publish the comment to everyone that is able to view the model. It will always be accessible in the right-side panel by clicking the respective variable.
Comments in views
A comment in a view functions the same way as a comment in a variable but is visible to anyone who can see the specific view. These comments are always visible as long as a variable is not selected. If a variable is selected, simply click the back button at the top-left of the right-side panel and it will take you to the view's comments. You can also @ the other users in the model.
